Why is the Black Lives Matter movement so important to us?

 Our assignment for this week is to explain why the Black Lives Matter movement is so important and what it means to us personally. Please take time to read our responses as they are all individual but also very powerful. 

Why is the Black Lives Matter movement so important? All lives are important all people are important. Skin colour does not matter to me because I feel everyone should be treated equally. Just because I am BLACK doesn't mean I am not strong or I don't deserve a chance in life, because everyone deserves a chance in life. BLACK lives matter because skin colour does not matter we should all have the same opportunity to become something great and be who we want to be. It is not fair to those children out there that are either the same age as me or younger than me to be going through a phase of bullying because of their skin colour. BLACK lives matter was introduced because we needed to stand for what is right we needed to protest and explain to the people what we are going through. There are a lot of innocent men and women out there who have been arrested by white police officers for doing nothing at all. That makes me feel worried about my future thinking, what will I go through when I am older? What challenges will approach me when I am an adult?. So that is why I stand today telling people to let us stop RACISM why? well because....... BLACK LIVES MATTER! And because children like me want to have a better future!

It’s not fair if one gets killed because of the colour of their skin. They were born like that and they can’t do anything about it. All lives matter after black, Asian,brown and many other lives matter. There is no reason to be 🅡🅐🅒🅘🅢🅣 because just looking at the colour of their skin , it does not does not prove their sin. The whole moral of the story is to 🅝🅞🅣 🅙🅤🅓🅖🅔 a book by its cover, there is much more inside of them then the outside. There are many innocent people that have been threatened and killed by the colour of their skins. They deserve to live like a normal human being.

Hunting, killing our people, And there is nothing we can do Fighting the injustice and having it all come back to you You, as a nation You, as a people Fly high, black men and women, fly like a dove I can't breathe, I can't breathe Is what he said Being ignored and led to the afterlife instead Is this what humanity has come to Are all the lessons from the past now left in vain? Black Lives Matter (BLM) is important as many, many black lives are threatened by the police everyday. It's not just the police though. Many racist people and rude people as well. Black Lives Matter (BLM) supports the black community by doing parades to show how they feel. Many more people are joining Black Lives Matter to help support the black community. This shows that people care about the black lives that are perishing every day.

Black Lives Matter is important because it is fair that all people should have the right to equality even if they are different skin colours or races from you. Being a black person myself, I fail to see why being a different race to someone even matters. That is technically saying that you hate someone for the colour in their eyes. Black live matters is such an important movement because it is telling people that everyone deserves a right to freedom and equality. Racism is such a strong subject to talk about when it comes to people's lives and could have people think that they are horrible people because of the colour of their skin(which is not replaceable)and think that they deserve every mean thing delivered to them. Black, white and brown are equal and should stay equal. Everyone and everything deserves that in their lives

The black lives matter movement is very important due to the fact that people have been degrading people of colour since 1860 and even to this day (161 years later) we still have racism going around the world. Recently racism has had an huge affect on America and many people have died due to many racist careless acts . The black lives matter movement is also very important because it helps people to understand how black people are being treated.

The BLM movement is an important movement as it speaks out against the racism against black people all over the world. The main goal of the BLM movement is for the awareness of how black people are being treated needs to be raised so everyone can be treated with the same respect and justice. Although all lives do matter, at the moment, the safety of black people needs to be understood and what they go through.

Black Lives Matter is important because of the brutalizing and killing of black people at the hands of the police black people have suffered throughout their lives because of their skin colour and that should be stopped. Myself ,as a black child, should not have to worry about my skin colour. God made us all unique so we should not be judged because our skin is darker than other races we matter more than anything racism is still going on in the world we should have the equality like everyone else. If tables were turned and white people were going through the things us black people go through they would understand why black lives matter life should not be about equality it should be about everyone working as a team and making the world a better place ...

As a black person I believe BLACK lives matter is extremely important because you cant just judge someone by the colour of their skin. We need to spread awareness about black lives matter because I don't want the future generation to go through any of this and yes all LIVES do matter but its like seeing a house burn and saying what about all houses do they MATTER of course they matter but you need take care of the house that's burning! I also hate why people are racist to all other races it's not OK DON'T judge any race for there skin colour, how they talk, what they do and what they wear. Why cant we live a normal life?...

Black Lives Matter movement is important because, we the black people suffer-injustices that reach far beyond our treatment by the police. In the wake of most recent murders of Black people in the US, it is clear that white and other non-Black people people have to step up and do the work to eradicate anti-Black racism. I wonder how it will be in the future for me ,especially if all of this is happening in the world, unless we Black people stand together and peacefully end racism, it is hard for Black children like me to be seeing and hearing about this. The worst part is black people, get arrested for doing nothing, but only because of skin colour, which would also frighten little children. Just because you have Black skin doesn't mean you can be treated unfairly. So if racism stops, then we can live in peace and harmony. The world could be a better place for everyone. Everyone should be treated equally, Being Black doesn't mean I should be treated with no respect. If we live in peace, all that is happening now, will look like it never happened. BLACK LIVES MATTER because, being Black or White doesn't change the blood God has given us.

The Black Lives Matter movement is important as it is to stop the oppression we have been fighting against for all these years. All races are important, all people are important. Just because you are a person of colour doesn't mean you are a threat or you're a waste of space, everyone deserves a chance. The Black Lives Matter movement is to stop the oppression against black people from anywhere from police brutality to everyday blatant racism. The movement was made to promote anti-racism, it is often interpreted in the incorrect way by people who don't recognize how black people are often victims of demonization as well as criminalization. The movement is fighting for the lives that were taken that remain superficial, people such as George Floyd, Breonna Taylor,Ataiana Jefferson, and others due to police brutality.

To me, the BLM Movement is important because some black and Asian people all around the world do not get treated well by some people ( mostly police in America ) in the white community. In my opinion, the major point is that police brutality is very common for poor African- American communities. This is a very severe civil rights violation where officers use unneeded force against a subject. The BLM Movement helps to fight against all the civil rights violations and this will always has a big impact on people's life. Everyone should be treated equally no matter what race they are. Many people out there suffer with there family from racism. It really hurts me to know that women and men out there get treated this way. Even I have been treated unfairly because of my race before and my family. It is really annoying to know that I might still go through this hurtful thing when I grow older. I do not and never will think that anyone in this world should go through such a terrible thing like racism. I do not like the fact that the only way I or any other black person can be accepted in this life is if we were a different race. I think that is a complete violation to mankind. How can someone always be targeted because of how they look. I am proud of who I am and my skin colour. There is no reason why I should be ashamed of myself just because of what other rude people think of me. #BLM FOREVER WORLDWIDE
