Our assignment for this week is to explain why the Black Lives Matter movement is so important and what it means to us personally. Please take time to read our responses as they are all individual but also very powerful.  Why is the Black Lives Matter movement so important? All lives are important all people are important. Skin colour does not matter to me because I feel everyone should be treated equally. Just because I am BLACK doesn't mean I am not strong or I don't deserve a chance in life, because everyone deserves a chance in life. BLACK lives matter because skin colour does not matter we should all have the same opportunity to become something great and be who we want to be.
